Since 1998 Focus on Fibre Art Association has sponsored a biennial juried competition and exhibition of fibre art including but not limited to: traditional rug hooking, quilting, needlework, textile design, hand knitting, weaving/tapestry, cloth dolls and wearable (clothing/accessories in any technique).
The juried competitions are one of the ways FFAA meets its goal to encourage, foster and develop among the citizens of the community excellence and appreciation of fibre as an art form.“

2020 Competition - Future in Focus
The theme for the next competition looks toward the future with a playful take on the year 2020 and focusing on the future. Our past competitions looked back with “My Heritage”, at the present with “Climate Change”, now we look toward the future with “Future in Focus”.
We invited our members to put forward suggestions for the 2020 theme with a small prize. Our Junior Weaver member, Josie Voth, won the prize with her timely suggestion, congratulations Josie!
Look for new categories and a simpler registration as we look toward our future.
Watch for details and call for entry in late 2019.
